Gossip and Prostock John are 2 of the guys that run stalled cars with alot of success. I trust the judgement on boltons.

My wife came and watched for years. One pass and it was all over. I catch her watching drag racing youtube videos now. I'm been trying to teach her to bracket race. Maybe get her in a no electronics street car class this year.

I looked into the 3.91:1 rear and it didn't appear it would drastically affect the cars day to day manners much at all. Even on long highway stretches.
Since Im brand new to the whole stall thing i can tell you this.....my wife wont know its stalled. I was worried about driveability and eveything else. My car drives just like stock.....when guys say its your best mod for an auto they are right. Like gossip says...just a stall will have you suprising more then a few people.

Yes Andy, that's what I was thinking. I grew up in Atco, NJ and the track there used to have Friday night "grudge matches" where you got to pick your opponent.

Sweet. I'll have to pm you or GSJ for details. I'm taking it this is another voids your powertrain warranty mod?

Since I dont have a warranty i didnt care but.......in regards to you....im not sure but I have heard these cars have a seperate computer for the motor and trans. If you get your trans tuned agressively and add the stall your going to have alot of fun. Im not sure if you can access one or just the other to do a tune. Maybe a tuner can help out with this.

All tuning is done from the PCM. You'll forfeit your warranty doing any sort of tuning. But the up side to having an LS motor and automatic transmission. It's a very rugged combo. You'd have to try really hard to hurt it! I doubt you can hurt that car with basic bolt ons. I think Circle D makes the best converters out there. Followed by Yank.

You have a heavy car. I'd spend a few hundred more and get the 3000-4000 stall. That's whats in my wifes mustang and it's perfect.

So I'm looking into this possible grudge match thing. I went on Maple Grove's website so Andy can join us. I also have another guy at work that wants to run his coke bottle Corvette.

Looks like being a convertible with out a roll bar is fine for me at times I'm likely to run: 13-13.5, BUT it looks like I'll be disqualified and unable to do a pass because of my window tint.
