Purpose of this T Hose setup connected to the radiator?

Hey guys, I attempted replacing my cooling fan today and unfortunately I damaged this small radiator hose, the stem broke off so I ordered a replacement radiator since it’s all one assembly. Freakin’ yay. I’m taking it to the dealership to have them do the replacement since the front bumper now has to come out and the radiator doesn’t seem super easy to yank out.

Anyways, the small hose goes to a T junction to the top tank of the coolant reservoir and to the thermostat housing. Can I pinch this off to get it to the dealership when my radiator shows up?

Here’s a couple pictures of what I’m talking about.

You can’t drive the car, if that’s what you’re asking…? If you can’t replace the radiator yourself you’ll have to tow the car to the shop so they can do it. But that broken nipple will shoot coolant everywhere if you try to drive it even with the small T hose pinched off.

Oh you’re right, the dealership is 1 mile away, so it’s not too far. I’ll see if I can get it towed.
