Excellent do it youself I suck at painting so I had Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet do mine humn you want to paint a V6 engine cover for me glossy black??

I have been thinking about taping this off on the car and painting it without removing it. Taking the headliner out does not sound fun.

Since mine has metal flake (SIM) I got mine from Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet as well. She was great to work with. The stock black fin stuck out like a sore thumb to me... had to get it painted. Well worth the money if you plan on keeping your car for any decent length of time imo.
Great job on the write-up.

The factory antenna is unpainted for a reason. Paint pigment impedes radio frequency radiation.
How does 'On-star' like the painted antenna?

I ordered the white diamond colored antennae for a Buick lacrosse for my white 2010. Waitin on sunlight to see how the color matches. Looks really close to me(I can't tell a difference).
