Well, I just bought a 4500 lb bridge jack to use with my 4 post drive-on lift. This will lift one end of the car off its wheels. I've been thinking about buying this for years. This will also help me thank my Dad for his support during these mod days. My Camaro5 friends will get to benefit too.

I already have 2 of these plain platforms that can be used with bottle jacks.

Not really sure I understand but someone at C5F who did the sways said all he did was remove the pass tire and turn the wheels all the way left and it came out without messing with the engine mounts. He siad it will rub but you just screw it out slow. The rear he said his son did in about 30 minutes without removing the exhaust so I guess its a trial experiment. Worse case is we have to drop the exhaust (very easy) and raise the engine 1".

The drive-on ramps are 19" wide. Even with the car jacked up off the wheels and one wheel removed, I wonder if the ramps will be in the way. With two post lifts that lift by the frame you don't have ramps in the way.

Did the guy at C5F jack up his car from the ground or use a two post lift?

Ramps shouldnt be in the way, the ground is infinitesimal. If the ground isnt in the way, we should be fine with the ramps. He installed them on the ground.

Then it should be doable from the ground or a 4 post lift.

So far the May 23 date is looking better for most.

We might need to start earlier with all the mods being planned. I count 3 shifters, 2 sway bars & 1 lowering springs so far.

Who is doing what?

Jewl, V1C and SIM... shifters right?

Me and hrpiii on the sways right??

??? on the springs

Did JEWL get anything else? He was talking about other suspension goodies...

If Drew comes, we can pound out the springs in 2 hours, no lift. Even if he doesnt, I would jsut need someone else to help but we need 2 hours for that.

I have heard the sways are about an hour per car, so I'd say 1.5 for the first car and an hour for the second.

As for the MGW... thats all you!

Cool, I am getting to the point I can do springs in my sleep! Its very easy! Now the sway will be a learning exp but with them half way off anyhow to do the springs, you might as well do them together.

I may not be able to make the 23rd. I may be filming a final scene for a movie that day. I'm working out the details with the director, but I will check, I'm pretty sure it's the 23rd they are planning on.

Well crap. It was looking like the 23rd was going to work for everyone.

Do they need any Camaros for the movie?
