I did it! Kinda =/

Went to the dealer today, and after a steep price workup and telling him how I didnt want 1000 in dealer installed "pinstripes, wheel well rubber trim, same for the door" I managed to work them down to MSRP, as well as get them to add 1700 to my trade in. Still flipped 2k, but better than 4k. Picking it up in under 2 weeks. Black ext on black interior, 6MT, 1LT.
Got to see the RS package in person, and those rims were waaaay too open. Personally didnt like them, everything else can pmuch be done AM, and the body roof ditch molding coloring really didnt bother me for or against. Darker taillights/HID headlights can be done AM as well too, and the spoiler: there is a good chance a handful of people are selling them here.

Long story short, nearly 70$ a month knocked off, 5% interest, and my car ins went down, I am on the countdown til my Camaro. I feel like Christmas is coming!

ETA 2 WEEKS! : laugh:

You can totally buy these cars for well under MSRP. I would try to renegotiate.

I agree at this point you should be able to do better than MSRP but congrats anyways. Post pics as soon as you get it.

Not nailed but not great either. Did you sign the papers yet or was this just a verbal agreement?

I signed 2 things thusfar, thinking im penned down :( Im not mad, ive bought 2 cars before this where I sufferend shittier deals, by far. But thats not to make it look like im covering up for an average deal, by saying "ive had worse". I felt accomplished doing what I did today, which was haggle a little.. compared to never ever haggling... OHHHHWELL ;_;

At least you did get some knocked off by haggling. Don't beat yourself up about it. Some find it hard to haggle with a dealer. And even though you signed a "couple of things" does in no way mean you're locked into the buy. You'r only locked in when you sign the final purchase agreement after you go through all the financing details. Until then you can always walk away and shop around.

BTW, congrats on deciding to purchase a Camaro! You're gonna love it!!

Did you get the 3000 instant rebate and the 1000 GM loyalty discount too? Thats 4000 off the price. If you didnt ask for it you might not have gotten it, I got it on my 2011.

No and no :( very new to haggling, his aggressiveness almost prevented it until I told him "Do better, youve been doing this for over 10 years." He didnt really like that, I do feel like its a step in the right direction. =/

Its never too late to get incentives...that is until you drive away...make sure you are elible for them and then tell the dealer you want them...they have to give it to you!
