After this past weekend's little event with my Hobbs switch shorting due to water/coolant getting on it, I'm pretty much done with this second fuel system crap. I woke up to a dead battery and fuel relay flipping out because it kept thinking it was seeing boost. I had to break all the wiring apart, dry it off and retape it all, plus relocate it. Maybe it's just me and I could be wrong, but I would have thought that the relay would have been wired to a power source that was key dependent, so my returnless fuel system wouldn't be trying to send fuel to a stopped engine for 12 hours.

Also, several places have pointed out the line routing isn't the best and they're worried about it snagging debris on the ground. I have that same concern as well, even more so being lowered.

It also doesn't sit well with me knowing that I won't know if my second pumps fails until the engine starts suffering... That will most likely be too late.

I can find replacement tanks, since mine has a hole tapped in the damn thing for the pickup line.

All I need to know is if the ZL1 pump can support my 560RWHP/520RWTQ and if so, where would it end on support -- Say, if I added a cam and got up in the mid 650s at the tire, would it still work?

I don't want to replace one iffy fuel system with another. I want to fix it and be done with it.. I've had no end to the BS with this car since I put the blower on it.

The only thing that's kept me from wanting to just sink the damn thing in the lake is my recent suspension mods.. /rant

I don't know enough about the max power level of the ZL1 pump but from what I've read most say 600 - 650. I was in a similar situation, I was running the stock pump along with a BAP and decided to upgrade pumps to make sure it has enough fuel. I looked at the ZL1 pump hard because of price but I didn't want to have to do it again if I upped my power level any more so I chose the ADM dual pump system.

Haven't looked at their system much..

I want something returnless, because I really don't want to dink around with fuel lines and such.. Plug-n-pray with the PWM system would be nice.

Houma, eh? My cousin's wife is from there.. They're in the process of moving from Arkansas back to Louisiana.. Lucky SOB.. I'm still up here in Yankeeland.

It's a great place
The ADM dual system replaces stock, no other lines that I know of (mine is at ADM right now getting upgraded). I think LPE uses the same pumps but ADM upgrades the wires.

(sorry for the off topic)

I'll let you guys know the real world scenario. I have just finished up my TVS2300 and cam install. Once I get the headers and ZL1 cat-back done I will be taking it get some body work done (ZL1 conversion) and they are going to dyno tune it at that facility. I'm going to install the ZL1 fuel pump so we'll see what happens.

I was running out of fuel with 546/rwhp with stock pump. I bought a ZL1 to help.

It would be a lot better if someone made this a twin pump kit. (And make more sense). It's alot of effort to take the tank out, no reason to do it more than once.
