JBA Long Tube 1 7/8" headers - How is the quality??

I was looking at doing an long tube header setup and there are a lot of favorite brands out there. Kooks, ARH, to name just a couple off hand. I hear they are top quality. But others in the past have said JBA made quality stuff. But I have searched and not a whole lot of people talk about the Long tubes.

For the people that have them, how was the fitment and quality on them?

They have a nice V-band clamp at the outlet where the connection pipe goes to the catback with either high flow cat or no cats. I will be running the high flow cats and stock catback with the setup. Can I get some feedback from owners that have them installed. Does the V-band style sealing mechanism seal without leaks. Any issues with install.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Brian

I have a car at the shop right now that has a set of JBA long tube headers.
From what I see, they seem to be pretty decent.Fitment seems to be nice.

I bought a set of JBA LT headers for my SS. One side didn't fit--if I recall correctly, it was off by half an inch to an inch. My tuner, who is pretty reputable, said JBA was low quality, and recommended Kooks or American Racing. Then I had to fight to get a refund--they just wanted to give me a new set of headers. If I had it over again, I would've spent the extra money to get Stainless Works or Kooks headers.

If your looking for a good set of headers at a good price you can't beat stainless power made by stainless works.

Check out the article below as you can see images of how they fit the car. I have the JBA LT's on my car and they fit like a glove and I have had NO issues.

Put them on using jackstands. Did have to shorten a couple of the threaded studs that hold insulation in place , otherwise it went smooth and a year later they still look great .

I've had JBA 1 7/8" headers on my car for 25,000 trouble free miles. They fit great, the car sounds amazing, and I've made pretty good power through them. My vbands have never leaked as long a I have made sure that everything was lined up perfectly be tightening. One of the studs on the vband did break once while I was removing the exhaust to install my clutch. Install is easy, directions say to remove the steering shaft, but you can get them in with out doing that.

where did you get another v band?

are you running any material between header and cat/test pipe?

I put gaskets in between mine when I initially thought I had a leak but it was just the natural header noise 😜
