Vertical Door - Mod

Vertical Door - Mod!

Couple of people asked me for this information so here it is!

The Instructions and how to for the vertical doors on a 2010+ Camaro has you remove a bracket and foam insert.

Here is a little mod i did last time but forgot to takes some pictures. But this time on my new SS i got them!

This is a good mod and will help the fender from caving in if anyone leans on it!

Here are the parts you remove and dont use per the instructions, I cut a grove in the bracket so it can mount flush with frame and just move it down where the new hinge ends.

Move Bracket down past Hinge and mounted it!

Here is a shot from inside. When done it would be all painted and pretty. This is just a test fitting.

I thought those were bolt on kits? why do you have to remove that bracket, is it in the way of the new hinge?
Just wondering...

You need to remove that bracket since it right in middle of where the new mount goes. its just two well spots you need to drill out.

You also need to cut or roll the inside of the fender. so the bracket can go up and down.

not that hard.

What do you mean roll the fender?
I was thinking of doing this someday but don't want to cut anything if I don't have too.

You need to remove the section in RED so the door can go up and down when it out.

I hear you can bend all of it or cut and bend some of it. The instructions tells you to cut it. and that s the best way to do it.

Again you will never see this if you remove the kit and go back to stock.
