Dsx Aux Fuel Pump kit VS AGP dual kit
Im about to upgrade my fuel setup to run E85, and increase the boost. I have a zl1 pump, a self modified FPCM (holds 58psi at all times), DW90# injectors, and a BAP. Data logging shows my demanded and actual FP is always good, so at my current power this setup seems to be perfect. However the switch to E85 will require more flow.
Im torn between the less expensive DSX Aux pump kit, and the dual agp kit. Which would you buy? They’ll both get the job done... Couple questions, does the DSX convert the system to return style? Is there a major tuning change needed once you ditch the fpcm and go return style? And lastly, I have E85 all over the place here and i dont daily drive My camaro. I wasnt even gonna bother with the flex fuel sensor and just have two tunes. One for 93 and one for E85. Bad idea?

The DSX will be an easier install. With the AGP, you need to drop the gas tank or cut an access hole under the rear seat. I had a Squash setup and the first time I dropped the tank. When I changed over to E85 pumps, I cut the access hole. Much much faster. There was no extra dirt or noise afterwards. There are a few threads on here about the access hole. If you are planning on going for a lot more HP in the future, do the AGP system, if you will be content staying within the confines of the DSX system do it because it is cheaper and easier to install. I must warn you - most of us are never content and want more once you get used to the power. |

Blake pretty much hit the nail on the head. I was in your same boat earlier this year and thought about the DSX kit. It is claimed to be good to 1000 rwhp on e85, but I think that may be a bit generous. If it can reach 1000 rwhp on e85 I think you may need a BAP.
The AGP setup is a sure end to your fuel woes. A double pump system should cover your setup and then some unless you go absolutely big. I ended up going with the triple pump setup and ID1700X injectors, because I never wanted to look back at my fuel system again unless its maintenance. I did the hatch instead of dropping the tank. Accessing the pumps are simple matter of minutes now.

I already cut the access hole when I did the ZL1 pump. Just ordered the access panel trap door for it actually.
I was thinking about skipping the flex fuel sensor and just always running e85. Its just a toy car, and I have E85 on every corner around here. I heard running the agp feed hose is a bitch.

Yea, all it takes is one bad tank of gas... ok, scratch that. Bad idea.

Flex sensor all the way, and you are looking at 700 dollars difference between the 2, so I would say save up if you have to and go with the agp system, then you have a complete system rather than using crutches to make it handle your needs

I would be interested in buying your zl1 pump if you replace it

How does yours work? is it just a sensor without a wiring harness?
