Your co-worker sounds like she might be either A) jealous you got a new car or B) an ass, to just up and say that.

There's no such thing as a boring Camaro, period.

What she said. SIM and CGM metallic are just about my least favorite colors in the line-up, but they still look pretty damn good.

Get what you want, not what Miss Thang wants.

Black does look awesome though. When ours is freshly waxed, it reflects moonlight in a most pleasing fashion.

Yellow rocks, too.

silver and black, nice. to tell you the truth i hated the silver when they would only show silver for the camaro before it came out. it looked too futuristic. like the silver reminded me of a space ship or something. but silver actually looks really good on the camaro to me now. i guess it all depends on how you feel about the color.

Silver is a nice color, easier to clean than black. Look at Lengend's car somewhere in the forums, that is clean looking machine.

Yeah, silver is boring. Yawn.

I didn't even consider another color. Silver really shows the lines of the Camaro well. There's a reason all of Chevy's ads and brochures use silver. Just looks awesome. Well, I guess they all look awesome, but silver is the most awesome-ist.

I'll say it's no more boring than black, but to say either is exciting...no. I'd say yellow, red, IOM, ABM are the flashy colors and SIM, IMB, white, and black are stock colors all manufacturers feel compelled to have because most people don't want to break away from the norm and the sales back it up. For my tastes a muscle car should SCREAM fast. Black and silver, while nice colors, only yell. lol

I like the Silver Metallic color like some say it really shows the lines of and angles of the Camaro. And its not a boring kind of grey its different. In the end its your decision. check out my pics.

Silver is boring and I don't care how many people keep posting their SIM camaros they are still boring. Nothing makes it pop or stand out in the crowd thus making it borning. Sports cars are meant to be bright and seen coming not bland in. If this was any silver on anything but this camaro you guys would agree that its boring also. Face it sliver, white, black and greys are boring and a safe choice. This is coming from someone who drives a silver car everyday during winter season.

I thought Silver was boring & "safe" so I went with RJT. Glad I did. But ANY of the colors (other than White or Silver) is gonna show dust real quick. So...living on a dirt road like you do ... you DEFINANTELY want Silver or White. The dust on a dark color will look terrible. Who cares what others think anyway..... I dust mine daily! whew.....

How about the fact that it's a Camaro? The fact that silver shows off the lines of the car more than any other shade, and that's why they used silver as the promo car's color in the ad campaign?

But it isn't. We're talking about the silver '10 Camaro and nothing else.

So why is black the most popular color?

Just plain stock SIM Camaro, yes, I think it is boring. But it makes for a perfect canvas for exterior add ons such as stripes, wheels, and ground effects, etc. and not matter show subtle or loud, when done tastefully, transforms the SIM into the best color choice for a Camaro, IMHO.

Why is black the most popular color? I believe I answer that in the post you quoted. It's because its SAFE, black, silver and whites are the safest colors and always still well. People are scared to do loud colors because of the false stigma of it attracting the wrong kind of attention(hint: police cars.)

So the fact still stands if we weren't talking about the camaro most people would not be defending silver as not being a boring car. Thus the co-worker could care less what type of car he was driving and was simply saying silver is a boring color on any car. The people defending and taking offence to this are either owners of the color of just can't accpet facts. This is the sole reason these colors sell most on any car from any car line.

As a side note black was my first choice and then I thought to myself that I want a color that stands out and isn't common so I went with IOM.

First of all do you own a 2010 camaro. Second, this is not a sports car its a muscle car. Some people dont buy cars for a safe choice. Oh and i live in south texas nice and sunny right now.
