The weather is going to be complete crap so I can't go to the track anytime soon and I want to get my supercharger build back going. I'm probably just going to put the car on the dyno, see what numbers and how the torque curve looks. By the time the weather cooperates the DA will be high so there will be little point in taking it down the track since most don't understand how hard DA affects NA builds.

A rough estimate right now though is that if GM managed to get 280 ft-lb of torque at 100% VE (most likely 90% due to stock cats, but I went with a number that will give me lower), I am at 310 ft-lb @ 4900 RPM, 390 HP @ 7400 RPM. At peak torque I'm achieving a little over 110% Volumetric Efficiency, at 7400 RPM it is 99%. Volumetric Efficiency is how much air the engine is pulling in vs. the volume of the cylinder, which on my engine is 0.73 grams. Now these numbers are based on if I am getting a 100% combustion, my AFR is spot on and the timing is at MBT.

The problem with the LLT though is that at 7400 RPM the cam phasers reset to zero, so I can't control VVT after that. Right before though the engine is still making power, so I think the engine could make power all the way to 8500 RPM, the bearings and rods holding that stress is a different story though.

I finally got the car to do 0-60 MPH in 5.0 seconds, which is near what I need to be to run 12's. Right now I need to work on 1 more part of the tune, which is the initial hit. I moved the cam timing around, if I go lower or higher I lose power, so they are in the perfect position for my setup. The cam timing is just weird compared to what I run on my 5.0 and 3.7 engines, but they are port injected engines, this direct injection engine might just like it different.

Still trying to get to the track, weather is not really cooperating. Hopefully soon.

Was going to go Friday but I'm broke down. Transmission isn't getting power from the engine.

Looks like the car wheel hopped and broke the input shaft of the transmission.

I don't have any PM's in my inbox. What did you need to know?

I just got a set of the cams. But they are for my Acadia. There won't be any dyno numbers we'll see how it goes
