NEED INFO from Procharger/FI Owners: LOCTITE?
I am going to be starting my procharger install any day now. The instructions say to use Loctite 272 (red) for certain applications. It states to use it for:
Has anyone actually used this? I've heard that 272 red is "permanent" and a REAL pain to remove. Has anyone used the removable high temp blue loctite instead (believe its 243). Would really appreciate any feedback from anyone who has installed the Procharger kit and/or similar forced induction setups on what you did. Thanks. |

I don’t have experience in using it on a procharger setup, however I have used red before and after a couple days had to use heat to remove it that stuff if like concrete. I can’t see using red for that blue for sure. I use blue on my flywheel bolts and have never had an issue.

depends on the brand of thread locker. Loctite brand sucks and the red isn't permanent at all.
