Well there is a vast majority of the country that gets this stuff called snow for about 6 months out of the year, that is one reason.

Another reason is a car with this much power in just a FWD application would have an insane amount of torque steer. I also would bet that with that much power in a little car, AWD just makes it a hell of a lot more fun to drive

All nice pieces mind you. But you can't get any of them.
The Z/28 was unveiled a full year before you could get it as well. Your point?

The segment is much bigger around the world, Ford has already spent the money for the development, now they are recouping even more. And, as others have said, high HP small cars are a handful in front drive only.

Had high hopes for this car.

Saw it at the show today. Not really impressed. No real edge to it. I wanted to see this in person and really like it. I didnt.....

The 350R was really nice and the Raptor was outstanding. Sad that Chevy dosent have something that competes with the Raptor....

Chevy really needs to build a mid size Raptor fighter. They already have the twin turbo V-6.

The AWD drive only kicks in when needed. This RS is primarily FWD, until AWD is needed, then 70% available power can be transferred to the rear as needed, to one or both wheels.

I'm driving an '05 Focus right now, but will be getting the RS next year. I'm thinking it comes in around $38K base. I don't need the track slicks.

It will be my everyday ride, with drift mode!

The rumor is 345 HP. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. Yes please!

How is your weight distributed? I ask because I am also 6'3" and 235 and drove a 2013 Focus SE as a daily driver for over a year and fit in it just fine.

my legs are long 34/36 length, thats why I have trouble fitting. The drivers side not so much because I can put the seat all the way and lower it to the floor but on the passenger side is useless for me.

Same here, wish I could afford this as a daily driver to go along with my 1LE.
