Dang! No Mention of the Z28 or GM for that Matter
Will the Z28 ever debut?! Come on!
http://www.autoweek.com/article/2010...ROIT/101219962 30-40 vehicles will debut at Detroit auto show By DAVID PHILLIPS, AUTOMOTIVE NEWS on 12/14/2010 The 2011 North American International Auto show is expected to feature 30 to 40 worldwide vehicle debuts, show organizers said today. The Detroit show will include the introduction of the Audi A6, Chrysler 300, Ford Escape concept, Honda Civic concept and the Toyota Prius MPV. Porsche AG is returning to the show after several years and is expected to unveil a new supercar concept. GEM, Wiki Speed, Saba Motors, Venturi and ZF Industries are also participating in the show. Press days for the show begin Jan. 10. The show is open to the public Jan. 15-23. Automakers introduced 37 production and concept vehicles at the 2010 show, including 27 worldwide debuts. Nissan, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Rolls Royce, Fisker and Suzuki are skipping the show again this year. Electric-vehicle maker BYD Corp. is the only Chinese automaker participating in the show. BYD said this week that it expects to begin testing a fleet of electric vehicles in the United States late next year. Barron Meade, chairman of the show, said media and public attendance is expected to increase from this year's show, when organizers issued 4,536 media credentials and public attendance totaled 714,137. “We are seeing evidence the industry is on an upswing,” said Meade. “There is even more steel going up this year.” Show organizers provided a preview of the show today as well as ongoing improvements to Cobo Center, where the show is held.

Although there has been "insider information" and some unsubstantiated rumors lately of a Detroit Auto Show Z/28 debut, I'll take fbodfather's word from a couple months ago (no Detroit debut) over any of those rumors everyday of the week.
It'll be Chicago or NY and it'll be worth the wait IMO. |

It will be late in 2011 before it debut, Like SEMA maybe.
After all it's a late 2012 car. and we are only now starting the year of 2011.(I know 2011 cars are out) |

they have never debuted a production car at sema. and from the rumors I've read it will be a 2012 model built in late 2011. after the normal camaro production has swapped over to the 2012 models. we started the 2011's in june.

I think it was officially unveiled in August, shortly before the big bash at Indy. They did have 4 Camaros at SEMA (Sunoco, Dale Jr, LS7, and Black), but it wasn't the official unvail of the production 5th gen.

the cars at sema aren't production cars. those are show casing after market options/parts... SEMA- Special Equipment Market Association. . .SEMA is aimed at the business buyer looking to expand their product selection for you.
