Due to the way the boxes are made, they like to slide out into the center trunk area when turning....or maybe that's just because of the way I TURN....lol.

I installed a couple of "L" brackets and secured both boxes in place today...as well as re-mounted my amp on the passenger side box. Looks good...and the stuff will STICK in place when I take those...."turns."

Not always last forever. I had an old 10" JL Audio sub in a box I had installed in my car yesterday and as soon as they turned it on the sub had a blow out. I guess it had been stored somewhere that had too much moisture or something. Luckily he had another 10" JL W3 to replace it with.

I still have my 10" JL audio subwoofer I had installed in my 1989 toyota Corolla Alltrack wagon. It's in my 2000 camry hooked to my PPI art series amps.

I believe I got that audio setup in 1996. So I agree JL does appear to last forever.

Holy cow, man! Was that a new JL? Don't know what happened. But, if it was just hooked up and blew like that, there was obviously an issue somewhere that wasn't to "spec." Hooked up properly, it should last a long, long time. But, seeing as though you got another one, you will be happy for many, many years.

That's what I'm talking about!

Can't wait to get out there and finally take some fun turns in the Camaro. I'm not EVEN worried about those boxes sliding around now.

No I bought it used in about 2000 on Ebay. I never hooked it up and have had it stored since then. It must had been somewhere moist at sometime.

WEEEEELLLLLLLLLL then....

C'mon now...a speaker that is 9 years old just sitting around?

Yep, had to be sitting in conditions not favorable to the speaker. Maybe it was the material that was used to make the speaker. The build quality has gone up over the year too.

BTW, no toppled over speaker boxes no shifting cargo sine the "L" brackets have been installed. LOVE IT!

GM sub a waste of money ...can do better for less and less intrusive of the trunk space.
