Plus considering it gets 50 C + here in the summer, I don't think its a wise move to get my warrnty void! Srt8's are beautiful! if the Challenger had the chargers updated interior then I would get it anytime over the zl-1 ! |

2014 SRT Lineup
Hi, I figured since the conversation deviated from the question originally asked. Here is a few things you will notice.
The overall interior of the ZL1 is pretty cheap compared to the SRT line up. The seats in your Jeep are way more comfortable, as they are in my Charger. The new 6.4L Hemi clocks in around 465hp to the rear wheels, there might be some power loss with the AWD Grand Cherokee. The ZL1 is noticeably faster than the 6.1L Hemi. The 2014 SRT Lineup will have two engines available a 6.2L Supercharged and an improved 6.4L Hemi, adding the 8spd ZF transmission improving gas mileage and acceleration. If you're willing to wait the Chrysler line up might be in your better interest. But its your call... |

Hey, Thats great info! I usually roam around challenger forums ! What I would like to see is an interior upgrade to the Challenger! They should take the interior from the charger and throw it in the Challenger! Put the 6.2l supercharged engine! Getting around 550+ HP ! and shed a bit of weight somehow and there is not reason in the world I won't go for it! Cuz Challengers are Rare as well, here in KSA. You see Camaros on EVERY ROAD. There are 3 parked on my own street but very rarely do you see a challenger so it stands out ! I love the Charger, I saw one the other day ! Srt8 and Wow! It was gorgeous! not too fan of the new Jeep Srt8 plus its slower then the previous one So I don't like it at all! The Center exhuast was the highlight of the SRT and screwed it up big time! |

Maybe it's just me but a 4700lbs Jeep with 1000hp and AWD should be turning better than mid 11's no? Considering Hennessey HPE800 Jeep is running under 11 seconds. Something sounds off.

Two totally different vehicles, IMO. If the ZL1 runs like Chevy claims (and not some of the real world times I've seen on the forum) it should rip apart the Jeep. What's the SRT8 run, low 13s? An SS should do slightly better than that, although the Jeep has an advantage off the line because of AWD.
I've never driven and SRT, but I have a regular Jeep and I wouldn't want to go around the curves too fast in it. The camaro, on the other hand, should out handle it and get well into the triple digits with ease and stability.

Challenger? Really? They might look ok (not as good as the Camaro), but they drive like minivans, I drove the 392 before I bought my SS, instead of SRT it should say SHT on the back!

Your HP numbers for the SRT are incorrect. The current 6.4L puts out 470 BHP at the flywheel so you may get 400rwhp out of it...........definitely no where close to the ZL1 as most M6 cars are putting down close to 500rwhp.

The challenger SRTs look great from all angles except from the rear. From a bit of a distance you can see that the stance looks like that of an average sedan which is what the Challenger frame is derived from. Same frame as the Chrysler 300. Its a very fun car to drive but has no where near the handling capabilities of the ZL1. And then there's the hp issue. Chrysler/Dodge will be coming out with a new 'Cuda in a year or two. Completely new frame, new styling lighter weight. Has the potential to be a very cool car. They are doing some great things over at SRT..
