New Droid and the USB

I recently got the Motorola Droid through Verizon Wireless. I have Pandora Radio on my phone now. Anyway, the charge cord that comes with the phone is a USB on one end and the phone end on the other to attach to the phone. I plugged the USB into my USB port in the car, switched it to AXILLARY mode and NOTHING. I tried re-connecting, turning off, turning on pretty much everything and I cannot get my phone to work......Any ideas or remedies?

Did you try using the small auxillary connection, not the USB? Get a small stereo mini-plug (3.5mm) cable to plug into the auxillary connection (located beneath the USB) and then plug to your headphone jack on your phone. I don't know if the problem you're having with a USB connection is due to lack of compatibility with the Droid or not.

i'm thinking its prob more so that Pandora isn't designed to send a single VIA usb to another system. Your idea will prob work being that I was bored one day and used Pandora on my crackberry with an FM transmitter and got it to play threw my car speakers.

If this works wonder how it interacts with the blue tooth side of a phone hmmm....

If you want to use pandora, you cant use the USB cord (thats for music on the SD card only) use GMmusicconnect (bluetooth), I use it, works great!

Thanks for the replies, I will try and use it with the bluetooth vs the USB. I'll let you know what happens

you can also use the 2.5 mm audio jack, pandora frequently disconnects from bluetooth for me. Slacker has been better,

If you're trying to play your own music from the phone (not pandora) you can do it through the USB you just have to "mount" the phone once you plug it it. To do this, jsut pull down the notification bar at the top and you'll see the option.

For pandora, works awesome over bluetooth.
