Ok to drive without strut tower brace?
I'm cerakoting and carbon fiber wrapping my strut tower brace so it's off the car. I'm assuming it's ok to drive without the brace but just wanted to ask to be sure.

You'll be fine. There are at least 400,000 Camaros driving around without strut braces.

Never hurts to ask!
Post some pics when it's all done. Like to see it.

Oh yes that does look good.
Kinda matches the hood matting in style. Not sure if the CF would make that better, but that is just me. |

The cerakote is tough as nails too! Hard to beat. Just need a big ass oven to do it. Luckily I have one.

That looks really good. Tough call on the carbon fiber. I think I'd leave it as is.

Wont driving without a strut brace have an effect on the handling a bit?

Not really. Strut brace is more for looks than anything else.

It will not hurt the car at all, and I'm assuming he is not tracking it so I doubt he will even notice a difference..

Correct it is a placebo on most modern cars but had its place in the automotive world BITD. Take a 1994 Honda Civic as an example. When doubling the HP, adding sticky tires and stiff suspension the car was never intended to have those types of loads on the chassis. A strut tower brace was pretty much a requirement to reduce flex........ Matt

If it didn't, we have bigger problems than having a brace or not on the car.
