I love the way my vents look, plus the functionality of getting the heat out of the engine bay. I am very happy with mine.

can you add the vents to the side of the hood? closer to the edges off of the cowl? and will these work relatively easily on a non stock hood? as long as there arent channels built into the hood to send air in some direction.

1) Yes, you can put them wherever you want to. Still will work the same.

2) Yes

3) Yes, as long as the hood can be cut, you can install these.

Yes the mesh comes with. If you get them to paint yours, they paint the mesh too. That is included in the cost of the paint.

They can paint the mesh a different color if you want to, but I'm not sure if that costs more or not. Fritcherc on here has a two tone hex vent. Black with orange mesh.

Edit: Oh just realized he posted above me. Check his post out.

If I Would to install a Hex Vent on my 2010 SS,would it cause down draft that would affect my engine temps to increase or would it not have any effects at how or would it be just for looks.which I'm ok with as long as it doesn't cause the engine to over heat.
I have seen on here on the site where members said the 2010 hood wasn't design for a Hex Vent and would cause issues with overheating.

Several people have done a little testing since installing theirs, and all have said under hood temps are substantially reduced...
