Here’s a pic of mine. It was 7x5 and fit on the shift boot frame with a barely noticeable gap on the gauge side (anything bigger in L or W won’t fit in the boot frame) and didn’t require any trimming

I got the frame out just by lifting the gauge bezel (didn’t want to fight fitting the front tabs back in). Because the rubber is flexible it stretches just enough fit on the frame by pushing it into the hole fittings used to hold the leather boot. I used the blunt end of a chop stick to push it in so as not to put a hole in the boot.
