MGW flat stick short throw shifter **Updated**

I just recently purchased my MGW short throw shifter and just recieved it today. I ordered it about a month ago along with a TWM M1 Abrams gun metal shift knob separately. I opted out on the shift pattern and kept it simple. The shift knob was received within a couple days and the shifter was on back order. I went with this shift knob mainly on the reviews, mostly corvette guys and they commented on how great it feels, the looks and the quality. The shift knob weighs almost a pound. It's heavy. I figured my car wasn't heavy enough , lol. When I took out everything from the box, there was more then I expected. I found out that there is a decent of amount to work to change out your shifter. First impressions of it are wow! It looks to be of very high quality. I can't wait to get this in installed. It looks awesome with shift knob and it feels extremely sturdy together. I can't wait to row thru some gears with this combo. I also upgraded with the redline goods alcantara center console upgrade with the shift boot also. It's going to be badass. This will be a great winter project. Here's a pic. Does anyone else have this set up?

Great shifter and solid shifts while driving. I have the same one installed in mine for about 3 months now. So far so good and haven't had any issues

Went from a Hurst to the MGW. No comparison in shift quality. The only way you will see it improve beyond that shifter is internal work on the transmission or moving to a transmission that integrates the shifter in the housing. Both very expensive choices. Bottom line, you are going to love the MGW.

Well, thanks for the info! I have a callaway short throw shifter on the car now. I'm not sure if they actually produce the shifter or buy and put there name on it, like there suspension I suspect. But there is a lot of play in it. I drive my car pretty hard and this is one reason I need this shifter. Also my trains is getting a little beat up also, so I might be looking into one of those options you just said. But hey, you have to pay to play, so it's ok. Looking forward to feeling the difference and the look is top notch.

I just installed the MGW flat stick last weekend....... Love it!
I did it in my garage with the front up on jackstands. I did not find it too difficult, just a little time consuming due to the cramped area you have to work in.
Watch their YouTube installation video, it is spot on!

That is gorgeous! What color do they call that stick? Is that what they are calling grey on their website?

Always considered the MGW- this may push me over the line...

Is the shift knob standard stock size? Or is there a thread size for it?

Installed pics

Well the day has finally come. It was installed today at Vector Motorsports. I have not driven it, but absolutely love how it looks. Can't wait to drive it. It's going to feel like a new car. I had to upgrade my transmission so that has been rebuilt and a rebuilt twin disc cutch along side this bad boy should make for a fun summer
