ZL1 reduced power 50% low
hey guys
would you please help me out i owned so many sport cars and recently sold my camaro SS and bought "17 ZL1 my ZL1 is under warranty and no any modification at all completely stock suddenly the car reduced power 50% low. i got it over a professional-dynojet n town. it got 398 WHP / 448 TQ i took to my dealership technician said there's no code showing he also refused to test my car i can not understand the problem of reducing power please get me some information 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫 |

Go over your owners manuals. Make sure the vehicle isn’t in a mode where power is reduced for valet services, and or teen/young driver.
It sounds to me like this is the case. This would also explain why there is no engine light also. |

Sounds like the teen driver key is being activated.

Possible air in the intercooler system which causes the pump to cavitate and shut off. IAT will then climb and the engine will retard timing. No codes or check engine light will occur when this happens.

Teen driver mode seems like the culprit, I don't think valet does limp-like mode.
If I were a parent giving this car to my kid, I would likely do the same - except for track days. |

i just use my second key and checked PDR it's already in safety mode
but my basic key already not giving the full power |

Those numbers seem to high for "Teen Mode", don't they? Teens and valet drivers can still have a lot of fun with 448 lb ft of torque at the wheels.
 That is more than my C7.

Needs to be hooked up to a scan device to see if anything's out of spec. You could try disconnecting the battery for a while and see if the problem goes away temporarily.

From everything I've read, valet and teen mode do not reduce power. Would be cool if they did.

I would guess it bad fuel.
I think in his country they have varied fuel requirements and they dont rate there fuel like we do. |

Had a similar issue, which was found to be a faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor Wire. Quick simple fix. Not sure if there were any fault codes thrown or not, but had the same message that you are receiving.
