Thx for all the help and opinions! After a little research I think I know why it was such a bad fit. From what I can tell it is a Phantom grill, but for a LT not a SS. Grill on a SS is bigger and comes to more of a point.
I saw 2 fitment numbers, 1 for an LT the other a SS.
Who knew? Class is dismissed...……

Now’s the time to go a Heritage or ZL1 grille. Easy and relatively cheap exterior mod that makes a big diff.

I have a stainless steel powder coated billet grille. I didn't want the aluminum one. Surprisingly i got this off Amazon. Very happy with it.

One of the debates on this forum is between the Heritage or the ZL1 (Hot Wheels) grilles. The Heritage is discontinued so an authentic one is like hens teeth and expensive if you can find someone willing to sell it. There are non-authentic ones people are buying and having good results with apparently. The authentic ZL1 grille is still pretty easy to get at less than $200 or so.

Here’s a good thread on them:

https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214340

I liked the Heritage at first but then the ZL1 just seemed to flow better. Both are better looking than the stock grille IMO. I just ordered black SS letters so it will match the black bow tie.

If you look back at the pic of my two cars the black one has an original Heritage. Not a very good pic though sorry.

Thx, the ZL1 is nice, I saw a heritage on E-Bay, so I guess it is not the original.
Thank you for all the info.

Grill for LT?

Ok the grill has been off for a while, went with a blank center piece and the small SS for now looks great.
BTW anyone ever used the old school Super Sport in script like on the 70'S Chevelle? Just a thought I'm kicking around.
Back to the grill, so I think this is for 2010-2913 LT Camaro.
Aluminum billet painted gloss black. I do not want to sell unless I'm sure what it fits, what do you think?

yeah i got some and cut off the pegs ad added 3m emblem tape basically bad ass 2 sided tape. you could make a 70's grill emblem work somehow.
these are pretty high quality i was kinda surprised.
