Another thing you have to watch on these 392's, I have seen at the shows here that some of the MOPAR boys have installed Whipple's or the Mopar Performance SC's on them and don't advertise it. You won't know until you get whooped or look under the hood!!

They’re trying to make a 10,000lb boat go fast.

The problem is that today you just don't know what's done to someone's car unless you know them. Also when roll racing the auto use your paddles to drop down to the right gear. Even with a trans tune it seem to takes its times dropping down to the right gear on its own when you stand on it.

Yeah, I second guessed myself and left it in auto mode. By the time it fully kicked down and started moving, he was already pulling on me. He had used his paddles and was likely around 4k from the start. I still think he had some work done to the car, but I don't want to make excuses for my poor showing lol. But man, that thing sounded so sick and I would love to have it in my driveway...next to my Camaro. I pulled hard on a neon green 392 Scat Pack Challenger recently, which is why I thought this would be an easy walk. But you never know what the other guy has.

For me, racing has always been off the line launches. The old school stuff. This whole roll racing thing has thrown me for a loop, and I do not pretend to have skills in this regard. I know a 4k or higher stall would be a game changer though. This cam doesn't come alive until 3700+

I know it man. This has realigned my priorities.

Stall, 3.91, and Rod mod/ported intake for a nice boost in my midrange are next on the list.

Uhhg, I have gone and derailed the thread again. Sorry OP, I'm done.
