Not saying the 1LE isn't badass, or that it is a better car, but this guy has clearly been swooned and is a little biased.

Based on Car & Driver's (mostly grumbly) review, apparently GM put them up in a Motel 6, facing a major freeway in an urban area.

Haven't seen anymore but rumor has it that there is a white 1LE at Camaro5fest. Haven't seen it yet though.

It's an option on an existing model, not a totally new model. The ZL-1 has been marketed and preached to death and has the big selling point numbers people love to buy in to. The pieces and parts that make the 1LE will entice a certain type of person that understands why not to whine over an automatic.

Not that a highly complex automanual wouldn't be better than an old school human controlled one.. You just won't get that type of transmission in the price point from GM in an SS for a bit.

The 1LE is a pretty impressive package for the price that you pay for it, it really brings the car alive.

Since the 1LE swaps mono tube dampers in place of twin tube dampers in the rear, it should be a simple swap. The rear mount may be different so there may be a few extra parts, but nothing too hard
