zl1 fuel pump vs zl1 fuel pump sending unit, what's what?

I ordered a Zl1fuel pump at LKQ today for $75. my question is that I don't know if its possible for them to remove just the pump off the sending unit, I don't know if they are going to send me the whole sending unit or just the fuel pump. if they send me the pump can it be mounted on the SS sending unit?
I'm in process of doing an E85 conversion with not too much HP so don't need much fuel. I'm at 361HP. Once I do the zl1 fuel install will I be able to drive it till I get the stock SS FCPM flashed trough hp runners to run the new zl1 pump?

I would imagine that it should work. When i removed my ZL1 pump the sending unit came off with 2 bolts i believe and i just reattached it to my dual pump setup. The SS sending unit should be able to be attached to a ZL1 pump. You should also be able to drive it until you get the fpcm situation handled. Just wont see any benefits of the new pump.

understood. Do you know if I need to flash my stock SS FPCM to run with the ZL1 pump or tune the FPCM?

You can run the stock SS FPCM to get you by but you will have to eventually get it tuned. I think he's the one to do it.

Definitely will be fine on the stock fpcm with his mods hell he could get by with the stock SS pump and e85 for his power level

HP Tuners will flash stock SS FPCM with the ZL1 specs

A few years back, you had to get a new module (i think ADM made them) but nowadays, HP Tuners can make your stock SS FPCM work
