Awesome Mike. I haven't posted in a while, but I still check in fairly regular. Glad to hear that it is finally arriving. You may not get to drive it much, but at least you will have it! Congrats!

Sorry, I just saw your post....
If your vehicle is designed to run on 92+ octane fuel, thats what you should run to achieve sae certified numbers from the man.... If your vehicle is designed to run 87 octane, it is actually detrimental to run higher octane fuels. The Engines will run hotter, get a decrease in fuel mileage and carbon up quicker. This is due to the fact that higher octane fuel is harder to ignite and has a slower burn. In low compression engines, this slower burn means the fuel is potentially still burning while the piston is travelling downward in the cylinder...this exposes a greater area of the cylinder to the high combustion temps, increasing engine temps... So, dont waste your money putting in 'the good stuff' unless the man calls for it, or you have increased the compression ratio by methods such as decking, pistons, head shaving etc etc.. just my .02$ worth |

FINALLY!!
We took delivery of our Camaro this afternoon! Very happy with the car and the dealer...not so happy with the weather. Snowing and very slippery, so we left the car at a friend's place a few blocks from the dealer...it most definitely is not a winter car with those tires!! I had a challenge just getting it there!
...anyway, back to the "moment"....the dealer 'stashed' the car away in another building they own as he didn't want anyone near it, so he took us over there and the look on my wife's face was priceless! (she had only seen a couple glimpses of the only two Camaro's in town and watched Transformers movie, so she really didn't have an idea about the car)...she walked around the corner and said, "HOLY CRAP!"....which for her, is VERY excited! She loves the IOM and I gotta say, it does look very nice! Did the paperwork and eased on over to my buddies house. It's supposed to rain the next couple of days, so if it stays warm and the snow is off the roads, we'll bring it home. Sorry, no pics yet but I'm sure we'll have plenty soon. VERY NICE CAR! :happy anim:: happyanim::happya nim::h appyanim: |

Got screwed by original dealer in Eufuala, Oklahoma on November 3, 2009. Found new one at Paddock Chevrolet and drove 2400 miles roundtrip to pick her up in Buffalo, New York on Nov. 5, 2009. |

That's pretty wild!
Gotta be a Canadian with too much time and a few extra parts laying around! (Canadians are totally awesome and really great neighbors). I sure would enjoy running to the grocery store with that at least once!
