Passenger door panel doesn't align with dashboard

ZL1 just 1k miles and noticed that passenger door panel doesn't quite align to the dashboard. Is it a normal fit and finish issue with the car? Or does it indicate something more severe like frame issue (not very likely though)?

If anything, this would probably be a door hinge adjustment, but...not sure I would mess with something that minor, but hey, if it bothers you, that's all that matters.

Take a hammer to the corner of the dash

How do the lines on the actual door look like on the outside?

Good for you! I will see whether more people will comment on it so that I can decide it is just fit and finish.

Outside looks fine, or just a tiny bit off compare to driver side. I will post pictures once I have a moment later today.

If the door was misaligned that much it would probably be hitting the body somewhere. I don’t know how the door panel attaches to the door or if there is any adjustment possible. The panel may be warped some causing the alignment. I’d have the dealer take a look st it.

I have the same condition on my 2018. That being said, the dash pieces have been removed and reinstalled to install new speakers and I was wondering if there was a broken clip preventing full seat.

I have seen worse examples as that appears to be an interior hard plastic fit issue and nothing to do with the door alignment. Sadly, the workmanship and quality control on a ZL1 should be better....
