I definitely agree with you. If my car was making my oil disappear from day one, I wouldn't even mod it. Just trade it in on something else. BTW, how do you like the new ride? 5.0 right?

I guess I should say this differently... I think anyone messing with FI without substantially building the bottom end, is eventually buying a new engine. After seeing the parts that came out of it, I wouldn't push my luck at all. Still loves the looks of that car. Don't get me wrong.

I love the 5.0. I would've bought the SS, but got a good price, and saw plenty of potential in both. I'm not loyal to any car brand. I like all American muscle.

For Mr.Non-believer, this car is as bone stock as they come. My most recent passes last Sunday. Or for any non-believer, for that matter. I was born into drag racing; I'm no rookie. My dad has 70' Buick GSX runs mid tens and my grandpa owns a 99' pro charged Camaro SS which also runs mid tens. On these passes my dad and I were pushing for our thirteens, but the DA was not as optimistic as the drag times calculator. My dad's friend brought a weather station to check the DA at the track and it was about -500ft, and we also had 20-25 mph winds against the car. Good car, good weather, good driver. Some cars just run better than others
