Car is black. It will be on Xa coilovers as soon as I get it. We'll add some red accents. Bridgestone RE-11 on Forgelines with red inner and outer barrels.

There has to be a way to bump the boost a bit. Brakes, bars... I don't want to take it too far, just add a little touch here and there.

Forgelines are very nice but a little to pricey for my paycheck...

Hey JP.... In your opinion do you think the 1LE as described would be able to compete with a Boss?

Driver's race. The BOSS LS runs on R compounds so a 1LE to go head to head with the LS would need to be on R compounds too.

Closer than I thought....

I was just looking at some lap time's and the 2011 Boss (non LS) smashed the SS's laptime at Laguna Seca by 5 seconds. Granted the 1LE has more goodies than a SS but it will have around the same power. Glad I asked..... Sometimes I like to be wrong.

Lap times are really tough to compare. Put the same driver, in the same car, on the same track on the same day...

The suspension and brake upgrades on the 1LE are a big step up from the SS. An FE4 is a big step up from the 2010 - 11 FE3.

ShnOman, no one's gonna paddle your hiney...

I've become a "convert"...as I see the potential (italix'd) of the 1LE being at least a match to the Base BOSS and, depending on "final details", an equal to the LS. How?

MG9 and 3.73 wake up the LS3. Ram Air/extractor hood with cai-type "interface" adds some "beans". Dual-Mode adds some more. A 1LE-specific tune (to somewhat maximize the preceding add-ons) makes it all come out about 440-ish. ZL1 add-ons, down low (had to throw that in)...

ZL1 vs. BOSS LS = 2.5 seconds (on a short, tightish course), which we all understand is "otherworldly". 150 fewer pounds in the Camaro saves some more...and 140 hp gives a chunk back...

Pete's right..."driver's race".

LS7 for a clear win...

1LE for VOLUME, like the Base BOSS. And who knows about a ZEE?!

BUT.................(is that enough dots to connect?)..........a ZEE would merely be a transplant away...(if not a whole Generation)
