I believe it is two coats of black paint on the tail lights.

Your car looks great!! Do you have any concerns getting an inspection sticker with the taillights and turn signals painted black? I am pretty sure that wouldn't pass inspection here in Mass....regardless..looks awesome!

I had no concerns until now....thanks a lot. :( Actually, I asked the painters multiple times if it is legal and they said yes. You can easily see the lights during the day no problem so I don't see why it wouldn't pass.
