Exhaust Upgrade Help?!?!

Hey Gang, just got my 2011 IBM Camaro SS.

I am not thrilled with the exhaust and see that most of you have changed yours.

Could I get some suggestions on muffler replacement?!?!

I'm looking for a bit more growl with less back pressure...HOWEVER, I don't want it race car loud. I know these 6.2 motors can get loud.

I put a Flowmaster 50 series on my 6.0 ltr truck with duals and its LOUD!

Thanks.
TM

If you don't mind a little drone then the muffler delete is perfect. nice growl. Otherwise i'd suggest borla personally...

Check this compilation of V8 Exhaust videos - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21289

IMHO, also from V6 experience, Solo Performance has the best price performance.

Just so you know, you won't find a less restrictive system unless you go with straight pipes. The mufflers are straight through and flow very well, they're just quiet. There are several options that give it a more aggressive sound. Do you want it loud all the time, or just when you get on it? Personally, I like it nice and quiet at cruise but very noticeable when you're in it. I have a CAI and replaced the L99 resonator section with a non resonated Xpipe. It's almost stock quiet at cruise but has a more aggressive sound at idle and really opens up when accellerating. My advice would be to listen to the different systems and see what you like. Just know that you'll be paying for a different sound ONLY. There is no appreciable HP increase with a aftermarket catback. You also need to think about the future. If you have plans to add headers, you'll need to know that that will also increase your exhaust tone. I've seen several members that aren't happy with their catbacks once they put headers on. Just something to remember.
