Just an FYI for people wanting to do this mod. I was just looking at the procedure for simply removing the dash. It is not for the feint of heart. I'm not sure if there's a complete step by step on how to do this as of yet on the forums. If one is needed, let me know and I can put one together. Kudos to 2SSRS for having the patience to do all this work. Not just the leg work in getting the info and parts but, the actual install of this. It will be labor intensive.

Not to change the subject too much, but it is related.

Do you know if the part number of the dash is stamped someplace on it? I know a guy who has a 2LT 2011. If the number is stamped maybe someone could order just the dash panel from a 2011 and make the template that way.

I did find that 92245012 is the dash itself without the center speaker and 92245011 is with the center speaker.

My understanding was that the metal frame where the HUD will be mounted can be used to cut the hole from underneath ( after removing the cluster, and the HVAC ducts )

Here's the parts diagram for the HVAC Ducts. I've had the gauges out and there is quite a lot of room there, and you can even reach where the vin panel is at.

Maybe just hand cutting with a utility knife from underneath is all that will need to be done?

Keep up the good work. If it were easy, children would be doing it!

Do you recall seeing any type of mounting points for the HUD?

The price doesn't seem bad, but the work seems like it would be a lot.
