That blacked out ZL1 has been on Ebay for a LONG time. They started it out over $70k, now it's down around $60k. That is a SHARP looking car!

That's the beauty of this great country. You and I can agree to disagree concerning the rims on an automobile over an internet forum.

Murica.. F*CK YEAH!

weights are as follows..

"Tireless of course

Polished front, part #9599037 =29.89 lb
Polished rear, part #9599038 =30.25 lb

Black front, part #22798741 =28.22 lb
Black rear, part #22798743 =28.66 lb

Enjoy" from this thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=231291

you save 1-2 pounds. woopty doo. It seems that the OP doesn't care about tracking the car. Its already a fatass so i doubt another few pounds will make the ZL1 any slower. He just wants to see powdercoated forged optional rims and the black stock rims. Damn, seeing those pics of the black 5 spokes definitely swayed me however. Those 5 spokes look mean!

I'd do the Black 10 Spoke, then again the picture that was posted of a powercoated set in 5 spoke looks nice too...

From this picture it appears that your tire/rim are on the wrong side of the vehicle. You have an arrow on the outside of the tire that follows with direction and yours are facing the rear and it should be facing forward. Could be dangerous driving like that.

10 spokes look sick. I'm probably the only one, but knowing that the 5 spokes are supposed to be silver and after seeing so many in silver, the black 5 spokes just seem weird to me. my vote is 10 spokes u wont regret it

Yep, already taken car of. The dealer made a mistake when they had the wheels off the car to paint them.

The young guy that took them off stood in front of the car and marked the passenger side tires as being on the left side, and when the went back on, a different guy put them on as you normallywould, from the drivers perspective with the left being the drivers side.

Ooops.

The dealer was not happy.

All is good now.

Should I get the stock 10 spoke black wheels or powder coat the silver ones black? I own a black M6 ZL1. I have till saturday to decide which ones I want. I like the way the black stock 10 spoke wheels look, but then again the silver one look great powder coated black with the ZL in silver and 1 in red.

I would really appreciate people putting up pictures of the wheels on the thread! Ive searched some previous threads about this and the pictures were not that great. But anyway I LOVE my new ZL1!!! The break-in period is gonna be tough tho!
Honestly, IMHO I feel ZL1's with polished aluminum wheels are hard to destinguish from a regular SS, or a Camaro upgraded with similar wheels. The black 10 spokes are the face of the ZL1. Having said that, the polished aluminum wheels, that can be powder coated to a "midnight chrome" finish may be an attractive alternative. I have seen them done on standard polished aluminum SS wheels...and they look outstanding IMHO. I personally don't think you could go wrong either way, stock black 10 spokes or powder coated over polished aluminum..
