Intermittent oil leak; Needs to be a STICKY

ATTENTION everyone my 2010 Camaro 2SS RS that I have had for 11 months, with only 2758 miles on it, I noticed about a week ago a small spot of oil under my Camaro, could not find the source; took it to the local dealership, thinking that just maybe it was a small issue while the service writer was typing in my issue she paused when I asked if there have been any other 2010 Camaros brought in for the same issue, then seeing tell tale signs of deception, she lied to me and stated “No.”

45 minutes later she approached me and stated that my car needed a complete oil pan gasket, and then told me that she herself has seen 2 out of 10 Camaros’ for the same issue. I told her make it 3 out of 10 now with mine sitting in the shop all day. I asked her if Chevy or GM is going to declare a recall she stated “No” again and said it is when any customer has their oil change, or they see a leak they will go to their dealership, and the dealership will check the gasket for leaks. Time to demand that Chevy steps up.

Information: on my receipt, CAUSE: Found oil pan leaking at rear of engine J1000 pan and/or gasket, oil replace
They replaced the following parts:
1; 12612350 Gasket
1; 15203889 Gasket; at bottom of receipt shows increase in cost for this gasket, must be a lot of gaskets going out!
6; 12345885 Oil
Under that I have CC: 0327 and FC: 4061 can anyone explain these, so this was my Black Friday.

Why would they make a recall? It isn't a safety issue. This is the reason you have a warranty.

Also we replace oil pan gaskets all the time (on more then just the camaro), so this is nothing new.

"Time to demand that Chevy steps up."

are you kidding me??? you have what's called a warranty, because things like this happen. They fixed it...move on with your life and enjoy your camaro. The sky is NOT falling, $hit happens sometimes.

I've had 2 oil leaks so far with less than 8000 miles. First was the oil cooler adaptor gasket and second was the oil pan gasket. I hope that's it!
