30 PSI is perfect, 15 will be fine also if you don't plan on adding more boost. I plan on getting up to 16 at least so I needed a little higher one. |

How much boost are you running right now?

10-12, I've maxed out at 12 but high ambient temp causes lower pressure.

So how are you planning on hitting 16 besides smaller pulleys?

A 3.125" pulley should put me there. Or I could always switch to a Si Impeller.

Have you done the swap for 3.91 gears yet?

Nope, if I didn't have to pay for the registration on the Mustang 5.0 I would have bought them. I'm still waiting for my driveshaft still.
I got the new intake tube installed, removed the 100 cc/min meth nozzle that I had before the throttle body. Didn't think the IAT would stick out at that angle, but it works. |

Got my DM-100 gauge installed in a steering wheel pod. Don't know how I feel about it right now, if it starts to be annoying I will switch it with one of my DM-6 gauges. Tried to drive it at night here but it is hard with all the idiots driving with high beams and fog lights on.

Well, when you put silicon couplers on the pipes, make sure they are tight and do a boost leak test to make sure they do blow off. Mine did today on the way home for lunch, will have to fix it this weekend.
The IAT seems to take longer to heatsoak than the plastic one, will have to keep observing though. I still hate the lack of low end torque my 5.0 has, hope gears will help with that. |

Drove the Camaro today and the boost held, only 10# though from the 100℉ heat. New IAT works, doesn't heatsoak but reacts fast to the methanol.
I get the 1 piece driveshaft soon for the 1LE differential, but the differential will have to wait. I will owe the IRS a lot of money soon since my wife's new job threw us into a high tax bracket. My 5.0 feels more powerful with the CAI and Tune added. EDIT: Nevermind about the 5.0 feeling more powerful, my ECU finally adjusted the LTFT's correctly and the car took off like a rocket, I have more power before 5000 RPM's now. First gear is worthless right now, spun all the way through even in 100 degree heat. Will see how she does on the track on September 7th. Last edited by MagnumForceGB; 08-26-2014 at 05:19 PM. |

Sunday is shaping up to be a great day at the track. 82 degrees as a high, private event so there will nothing but street cars. No 4x4 trucks to destroy the surface.
Engine is running pretty good, but today my transmission bounced off the rev limiter in 1st gear, then the next pull it short shifted at 5k RPM's. Will be calling Andy about that. |
