I know I know..

If I have a manual I should be able to do this but I don't for some reason and I can pretty much do anything else with it and I drive it really well but I simply can't get it right. Looking for some long time manual drivers for some tips on how to do it. Sorry if I sound like a newbie, but I just want to be able to know how to do a bad a** burnout with this awesome car

I've only done one and it was pretty easy.

Clutch in, rev to 4 grand or so
Pop clutch and press the brake while flooring the gas pedal
when done, let the brake out to roll away and the tires will grab a little at a time until you're rolling, or press the clutch all the way in and let off the gas and roll slowly to a stop. Click my signature pic and watch the promo video if you want to see the only burnout I've ever done.

Step one - buy new tires cause it's addicting lol

Step two - there is no step two if you followed step one cause you just realized how expensive tires are.

Also note u need to hold down the traction control button for 7 seconds to turn all nannies off. Have fun

See I've done all that and its always stalled on me. So am I giving it too much brake or what?

Trust me its not going to become a habit. I just want to know what its like to be able to do one and have that feeling of accomplishment afterwards.

Yep I've definitely turned off traction control the 2 times I've tried.

You don't need to use the brake at all to do a pretty badass burn out with the SS. Just do like others have said and rev up to 4k or so and dump it.

Last time I checked at tirerack PZeros for the front were $372 and $413 for the rear. Very few burnouts for me. $826 will buy some nice mods

Same stuff. As for doin that and stallin it.. You are most likely letting off the gass. Hit 4k, drop clutch, move foot to break and give the rest of gas

If you want to do it the best way....

Put foot half way on brake pedal and tilt it to the gas pedal - (I have done this in several cars but not the new camaro (mine is an auto) so if you can't get the gas pedal far enough down you have to heel-toe it.)

Heel-toeing is a matter of putting your heel on the gas pedal and your toe on the brake pedal.

Press the gas to hit four grand and drop the clutch, your foot is already on the brake so no chance to leap forward, however you have to figure out pressures to get the both of them down. To much brake and you stall. Too much gas and... wait is there a thing as too much gas? Too little gas and you stall.

If you figure this method out you will be able to do a burn out as best as possible, but it takes practice.

The problem with dropping the clutch and moving your foot over to the brake pedal is you have to move quick and know hard to press. If you press the brake too hard you will lock the already spinning wheels up and just stall. If you don't press hard enough you will end up taking off. If you don't get to the pedal in time you will take off. If your tires magically hook real quick you will take off. Safest best practice is controlling brake and gas with right foot and just the clutch with the left.

Best of luck, hope you get it figured out. But just remember, anything in a car takes practice to get good at. Whether you are racing, burning out, or heck, just driving the thing takes some practice to get used to it. Be patient.

Also - remember what the tires cost because you do one, you do two, three, four, a hundred, etc. Very addictive, but very satisfying.
