Stock Brembo Seal/Boot Kit
Anyone know the OEM numbers for the dust boot and seal rebuild kit?
Mine are melted pretty good. Figure time to replace for the new track season. Any idea how difficult they may be to replace? Thanks SHU |

They are easy to replace. The hard part is pulling the caliper off and bleeding after. You could replace the dust shields (no bleed) and not the seals on the pistons, but if you got them that hot I would do both. I have removed seals and shields twice. Get yourself a pick and o-ring set, makes the job a lot easier. I removed the calipers completely since I was going to replace the brake fluid. Once they are off use an air compressor to push out the pistons. Put a block of wood between the pistons and carefully hit the air pressure on the brake line fitting. They will pop out fast so that's the reason to use a block of wood to keep both sides coming out evenly. If only the pistons on one side come out, you will have to push them back in so both sides will move out of the caliper. Plenty of u-tube videos on how to do it which will show you better than I can write an explanation.

For $408 each, upgrading to brand new C7 Z06 rotors was the way I went. Total bill was larger obviously as I needed new pads and rotors at the same time, but if you need those already it might be something to look into.

Yeah I didn’t have the funds to upgrade the fronts to the 6 piston. Thats pretty expensive.
I opted for seals and new Raybestos st43 pads. Which are awesome but i have problem with them cutting into the ABS too much. |

I ordered most on the parts individually off RockAuto for about $1300 using the list Nick S. wrote up on the 3rd post in here: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=8744227 As for making the most with the stock brakes, I have heard Raybestos ST43 is the way to go. I ordered a set for my 6-piston setup but they are on "Indefinite backorder". Also, one thing you can add to your setup is some titanium spacer plates. https://knsbrakes.com/c/car-series/5...itanium+Shims+ They help keep heat off the calipers and cooking your boots and fluid. So your fresh boot kit will last longer!

Yeah I bought the ST43.
That are a HUGE improvement for the track. But now I’m consistently hitting the ABS. I gotta fine tune my braking. |

I found myself getting into Ice Mode with them. Definitely had to adjust my approach to braking.
