New ZL1 Owner- Supercharger Rattle/Flutter

Hello everyone,

First time poster, long time lurker of the forums. Just picked up a 13 ZL1 A6 with 27k miles. The vehicle had the supercharger rattle at idle and I just got the car back from the dealer with a newly replaced blower under warranty.

At idle, it is substantially quieter than the old blower which was replaced, however, I do notice a random rattle or “flutter” as its called that lasts for about a second then goes away. I know the updated TSB states that if the rattle isnt noticeable after 1200 rpms its not a concern, which under an RPM load i cannot hear it. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on that? Should i take it back or just drive it?

I don't have an answer but is this covered under an extended warranty you bought or by gm tsb?

I have a 13 I just bought and while I don't have the rattle I wouldn't mind having it checked out if it's covered

Yes GM offered a warranty extension on superchargers for 12-13 for 10 years /120k miles from the day the car was first purchased.

Anyone still have a blower flutter after getting a replacement blower? Weighing if i should just let it be or bring it back while I have a few months of the extended warranty left
