Questions about the Carbon Creations DriTech TS-2 Hood

Hopefully someone who has this hood can answer some of these questions for me. I have been looking into getting one of these awesome looking hoods but before I pull the trigger and get one I was wondering how the vents work with rain draining? I leave my car outside so I just want to make sure it would be safe to do that without fear of water getting into the engine bay while parked or driving or even when I wash the car.

Also I noticed that most of the people on here who do have this VIS or Carbon Creation style hood don't normally add the recommended hood pins to them so is this safe to drive on the freeway at say 65-75mph with no issues or should I just go ahead and install the hood pins?

I run the VIS without the hood pins. I’ve been somewhere around 135-140 with it and haven’t had any problems.

Thx for the reply hopefully they are similar enough that it will be the same in the case of the Carbon Creation version of it. How about water getting into the engine bay, Have any issues with that?

One of my friends has this hood on his 2013 twin turbo Camaro and has had it on for about 2 years and no issues with water, and he doesn't run the hood pins either. And he does a lot of traveling between shows the require interstate speeds, no issues. Nice hood, I almost got one.

There is a shield that can be mounted under the entire hood to keep water from getting under it. I will get a pic tomorrow if you want one. No water gets through.
