ZL1 Getting Warranty ?

My dealer just called said the positive battery cable is rubbing against the bottom pulley. They have to redorder a new cable.

There were many new hiccups with the camaro when it first came out. This should be no different. Look back to 2009 and see some of the posts. My ss had the clamp rubbing a hole thru a cable. No big deal. Be happy yours is close to coming home.

My car is due any day, #300. Hope it does not have same issue. Did you find it or did the dealer find it on receipt of the car?

It happens all the time in manufacturing. As much as we wan't everything to be 100 % correct it will never happen due to the fact the nobody is perfect.

You should see some of the "new" equipment I receive.... It's crazy how jacked up some of it is.

That sucks. When are you bringing her home? How did the dealership find the issue? Are they driving it?

Good questions. Hopefully they found the issue visually while at idle during the PDI.

There will be a thread asking everyone,"How many miles were on your ZL1 when you took delivery of your car?"

I work in manufacturing myself, and no matter what, theres always going to be some stuff that slips through. Its not always possible to catch everything. Thats why they put a warranty on it. Matter of fact, we make the brembo brake rotors for the SS.
