Strut tower brace by GM...will it fit?
GM parts house says it will fit the 2017 ZL1. Not sure...anyone??

If it does fit, might be a good addition for the convertibles. I think SS verts have them standard.

It seems odd that SS convertibles do have the strut tower brace but higher performance ZL1 convertibles do not. I wonder if there is a clearance issue between the brace, the LT4 engine, and ZL1 hood?

ZL1 strut towers are braced back to the firewall. Does SS have this? Never looked under the hood of one.

I have the GM strut tower brace on my SS 1LE. While from the factory the cars have the black braces that go from the strut tower to the firewall, this one ties the strut towers together and eliminates that ability to flex as well.
It only has maybe 2" of space under the brace where it crosses over the intake manifold, so depending on how tall the LT4 supercharger is may make or break this. |

It does not fit. Ordered from thatgmpartsguy.com and had to return.

I've noticed that the ZL1 under side of the hood has a relief made into it for a brace. Was wondering too if one would clear the upgraded SC lid.
