Had some minor trimming of the back side of the bumper to accomodate the dual pass engine oil cooler.

Thanks Garth

Always a pleasure to work with you.

We offer several versions of this cooler for the oil and trans. I also have a dual pass radiator that we offer as well.

These are great mods for autocross and high HP builds.

Engine Compartment Reorganization!

Seemed like time for updated pictures.....

I installed the LPE/Rotofab 1 gal SC reservoir tank, which required moving the Elite Engineering catch can, at which time I upgraded to the RX Monster catch can to handle higher boost and future needs since I'm still 3% underdriven on the harmonic balanancer. Monster catch can was quite the squeeze with a modified Magnuson coolant bracket, 120 degreen AN fittings to just barely clear the OEM hood, and hose routing utilizing a series of Billet Specialties hose separators. 55 gpm Meziere SC pump was on hand, but the supplied bracket wouldn't even fit - let alone the pump. As luck would have it, I called and Lingenfelter had just come out with an upgraded pump for the CTSV and ZL1 which hadn't been tried on the SS yet. Fits perfect with one added screw and a home made 2" long hose isolator, and according to testing done by LPE, INSTALLED it flows more than both the Meziere 20 gpm pump AND the 55 gmp pump at 1/2 the cost of the 55 gpm Meziere. Plenty of belt wrap on my 2.75" pully now with the addition of an extra idler pully.

Here's a few more 10 rib pully alignment pics that might be good reference for you Jeremy..... I'd pay special attention to how close the alternator pully is to the alternator casing. I purposely left the pictures huge for more clarity.

Perfect, thanks Garth! Hopefully I can get my belt tracking straightened out (no pun intended) and get to the track soon.

Lingenfelter 2-Step mounting location

Merc (Brian).... here's the pics of where I mounted my LPE 2-step. This is where another Lingenfelter customer mounted his - "Se7en" (Brandon). The Lingenfelter CTAP-001 Clutch/Throttle Position sensor worked great for the clutch switch and has "window" sensitivity settings (called hysteresis) , plus I can set at what % in the movement of the clutch pedal that the switch activates. I had it working great in testing.... just have to rewire (move wiring), since I moved the 2-Step to the opposite side of the engine compartment when I installed the LPE/Rotofab 1 gal supercharger coolant reservoir and RX Monster catch can.

Here you go Merc... keep in mind my engagement being at 50%
might not be right for your clutch.

... I have the RPS/Hendrix Street Slayer Billet Triple Carbon clutch
that engages really high, but never has a disengagement problem
on high RPM shifts.

Also I maxed out the hysteresis to 4.5 to keep from any chance of
on/off problems if close to the engagement point..... for the same
reasons of the triple carbon clutch.

THX Bud! Good starting point, I only have a twin disc ACT. I'll let you know how it goes when I test it out.

If anyone else needs any pointers on installing the Lingenfelter CTAP-001 Clutch/Throttle Position sensor, I will be glad to give pointers. Merc got the version with the longer Purple wire so any disconnecting and moving the actual adjustable unit would be easier..... something I mentioned to LPE while Beta Testing the unit. The biggest thing to help is Do Not remove the clutch switch to get the connector off..... looks like a royal PITA. I removed the same switch off the brake switch and examined how the connector came off and too a lot of pictures with my camera of the positioning of the current clutch switch harness using mirrors. Seem to remember bending a small screwdriver to make a good harness clip removal tool. Pulled the lower left footwell paneling off and fuse panel cover. Put drivers seat back as far as possible (didn't remove) and steering wheel as high as it could go. Left arm was a tight squeeze to get my hand touching the connector, and right arm under the dash with the home made removal tool was like playing a game of twister. Then had a printed out picture of the position of the connector to my side to reverence so I could interpret what I was feeling. Presto.... got it off. Installing the new one that goes between the OEM harness and the existing clutch switch is much easier than the removal. I also added just a tad of light bulb grease to the connection to make it slide on easier. But I would definitely stay away from removing the existing switch to do it. I have fairly big hands and was able to do it. Or.... have a friend or mechanic with smaller hand help you out. Switch works great! What I really like is being able to adjust at what point in the clutch pedal travel the activation occurs since all clutches have different engagement points... plus may need adjustment later as clutch wears and the engagement point starts to changes. Also, I maxed out the hysteresis to 4.5 to keep from any chance of on/off problems if close to the engagement point in the clutch pedal travel..... since I have the triple carbon clutch and Really engages! (may play around with the adjustment later for fine tuning) For those that don't know, the "hysteresis" that Jason Haines from Lingenfelter built in, is so you have a "window" for the activation point - without this feature, if you have the clutch pedal at the activation point and moved slightly (like during hard launches)..... the activation could be turning on/off instead of staying activated. His install instructions explain everything really good.

Here's some pictures of the install (I purposely left them full size if someone wants to download, or zoom in)..... the switch pictures are of the Brake Pedal Switch I removed to examine (which is the same design as the Clutch Pedal Switch you will be connecting to). Plus, by removing and examining the brake pedal switch, you will quickly see why you don't want to do it on the clutch switch...... much easier to access the brake pedal switch for references.

I like to think by posting helpful things up for others, the same will be returned when I need it

And just for fun...... added a few pics of our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier "Lottie" sporting here new Camaro Club of the Rockies fashion wear! She goes on a lot of the cruises and to car shows in the summer!
