Rare you get this view of a race in your car
My buddy came to the strip with his Cobra and raced Orange Krush. I'm surprised he gave me the video, but I'm glad he did. Rare you get to see this perspective of a race of your own car
It's a super nice Cobra and sounds awesome. I think with a bit of practice he might give me a run for my money. My next target is my other buddy's Z06 Vette hahahaha. |

it's u2b... anxious to see the video
What were the times? He had a pretty good launch from the look of it. |

I'd love to say it was one of my best runs with something like an 11.70 but alas it was not. I think I ran in the low 12s that pass and he was in the high 12s. Traps were something like 120 for me and 116 for him if memory serves.
I think he's pretty new to drag racing. I'm gonna get him to come back to the track with me and see what we can get his Cobra to do. It's on like 23 lbs of boost or something nutty like that. |

Uuhh, if he's running 23psi on that Cobra, he has the car tuned and I'm sure had exhaust work done as well. I think even if he doesn't know how to drive very well, he'd still give you a good run. Your car is making a lot of powet and torque but so is the Cobra. Unless you've done some serious weight reduction on the Challenger, the Cobra will give you hell even if he's running 100 rwhp less than you.... |

That Cobra is super nice. It has a huge grocery list of mods. 1000HP rated built motor and all that....the works basically. He just bought it a few months ago and got it for a STEAL. I think he paid like $23K or something and it's in fantastic shape. Sounds mean as hell. |

The video shows that he ran a 12.47. Just gotta slow it down or pause it.

A couple of your guys from this forum showed up with the Edelbrock blown SS Camaros. I think they were running 12.50s or 12.60s at like 112 - 114. I really wanna see what I can do against my buddy's Z06. It's nasty. 550+RWHP and 3200 lbs. My PB is 11.79 at 122MPH, but that was in decent 60 degree air. At CF2 it was a bit warmer....I kept hitting in the 12.0x to 12.1x on 90% of my runs that day. 60 foots were like 1.9s. I've been wanting to try speed shifting to see if I can shave a few tenths, but I've got the stock clutch and all that and really don't want my synchros flying in to the crowd. LOL, he did get one helluva deal on the Cobra. You've done some work to your car Speedy, I don't remember it being quite the asphalt chewer last time I saw. Have any pics?

I just wanted a supercharged muscle car when I started. Saw a few folks blow up their cars with superchargers, so I decided to avoid that and do a built motor to handle the boost. Asked Arrington for 500RWHP and 500RWTQ that I could drive on 93 octane across the country. They gave me back 550RWHP and like 625RWTQ. I drove it 7 hours home from their shop no problem and get 22MPG if I'm not romping on it all the time.....which is hard not to do. I've come to like steering the car with the back tires haha. I didn't think I'd really ever get it on the track, but got some buddies ragging me about it so I tried it out and loved it. Now I've got tools, tires, all that junk I'm glad the car has a big trunk....I fit all my race gear in there, 3 hot chicks to be my cheer leaders and umbrella girls at the track and roll out. Swap tires, race, swap tires back and drive home. She's a big girl, but she travels well |

I wanted a fast street car with all the amenities and think I've met that goal. I'm gonna try to run a 11.49 and get booted off the track for no roll cage just to say I did, but if I never get it there I don't really care. It's fun as hell to drive. |

I don't doubt it at all. He's obviously not running good enough suspension/tire set up. I had a 93 Mustang GT with a stock block, Vortech S Trim and a SCT tune that made 373rwhp and 390rwtq. I would've put money on that 93 vs your 2011 but the best time I ran in that 93 was a 14.01 because of shitty suspension and tires....
