New catch can from Apex Motorsports

I was lucky enough to have my ZL1 as a test car for Apex Motorsports new catch can. The final product looks outstanding and is a high quality (solid) product. The best part for me is that the bottom half unscrews from the top half and I can just empty the can from there. I have only put about 100 miles on the car since the install (did it in a parking lot in about 30 minutes), but I will report back once I put more miles on the car.

Now that catch can looks good! Like the lower half removal idea! What is that extension bracket made of, and how does it attach to radiator area? Any problems there?

No problems attaching it or with clearance and it just uses the stock screw that holds the radiator on. The bracket was machined to fit down inside the radiator bracket so it sits flush with it. The bracket is metal, but Chase would be able to tell you exactly what type of metal. It is light weight I know.

Here is a close up pic of the bracket mounted to the car as requested. Size may be big due to me using my phone for the pic and this post.

Looks good. Mine is also on order. I opted to get the braided lines so it should be shipping by Wednesday. Can't wait!

What is the can is full past the point where the two halves connect? Will you not get oil everywhere?

You can easily detach the can from the bracket and take the entire can out if is a concern.

We appreciate your orders and look forward to reading your feedback.

If it ever gets that full you have either neglected it for a looong time or your engine has serious issues. Like Jeremy mentioned, if you are concerned you can remove the can from the bracket with two screws and two hose clamps and it is out of the car in about 30 seconds.
