Mishimoto catch can feedback?

I'm considering purchasing one of these and haven't heard much on the forum lately.

I know catch cans are a good idea, but has the Mishimoto system in paticular proved itself?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Works great for me. I've caught probably 400ml or more of crap in mine in 10k miles.

I got the Mishimoto as well. Fit and finish is top notch. Good product and works well or an N/A car.

Other than the nasty burning oil smell coming from the supplied connector hoses, it seems to work ok.. I did replace the hoses with 1/2 inch pvc/fuel lines and all the smell is gone...

Weird, I haven't had any smell from mine using all the supplied hardware

I did call Mishimoto about the issue, they are the ones that said it was the hoses, and suggested they be changed. They would not send another set. I did do a search and found others with the same problem.

Thanks for all the positive info folks- a new Mishimoto system is on my way from RDP Motorsports.

BTW-anyone correspond that smell with a particular color?
Thanks again.

I had a burning oil smell because the plastic barbs kept coming loose. Changed them to brass and the smell went away. Looks great and is easy to install.

Haven't cracked mine open yet since I'm only at 700 miles.... But I added thumbscrews in place of those allen/torx screws to make it easier to remove and empty... Potato pic.

Good idea, might do that to mine as well. I've been unbolting it from the shock tower every time to remove it since those little allen bolts are prone to stripping

Do anyone have any experience with the product on a forced induction application?

Love mine, emptied twice in 10k, just unscrew the bottom instead of unmounting it. Emptied with 60cc syringe to measure volume. 2.1 fluid ozs each time. so glad I did this, cringe every time I think of all that raw oil flowing down the intake
