New member from fort stewart georgia
Hello everyone, thank you guys for having me. My name is Shawn and I currently own a 2013 ss. It is bone stock down to the air filter. I was bitten by the ls bug back in '04 and have been hooked ever since. I did make the unfortunate mistake of owning a foxbody for a couple months, but hey everyone regrets at least one thing in life. Thanks again for having me, I am looking forward to sharing my cars progress with you guys.

Welcome to the club and if you're not too busy ride out to Roebling Roads Raceway in Bloomingdale for the track event today. We usually have a few Camaro's in attendance from the forum but I will not be there unfortunately due to work and I'm also without Camaro for the moment.

I planned on heading there for the mid may event. How is the track? My buddy with a gt350 said that front straight is a monster. Are there any somewhat close 1/4 mile strips? I just moved back to the area about 2 months ago after being gone for 8 years and am relearning the area.

I was stationed here from 08-11 with 2-3 bsb. Went to leonard wood for a couple years, then to fort polk and now I am back with 83 chemical. I think this could be the best stateside duty station, that's why I had to come back!

Shawn, CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Roebling is a fun safe track to get up to speed on but is very challenging to master completely.
We lost our local drag strip but save for Screen County's 1/8 mile with most going over to Valdosta, Reynolds or Atlanta for 1/4 that I know of. We use to go to Twiggs (now MGMP) near Macon/Warner Robbins back in the day and I loved that track even though it's 1/8 mile. We use to go see the heavy hitters come thru after Orlando in the fall running 10.5" Outlaws with legendary Pat Musi, Jim Huber to name a few and locals like Jack Barfield from Savannah with also southern legends like Mike Hill and Steve Kirk Jr was always a fun weekend of racing. https://www.facebook.com/MiddleGAMotorsportsPark/ http://www.goracesgmp.com/home.htm http://silverdollarraceway.com/index.html http://www.atlantadragway.com
