Only if it attributes to the casualty you have suffered.

True, but that means a tune could void the entire powertrain's warranty.

I had a diablo tune on my 2008 C6 when the tranny went out at 170miles. they warantied it.

Now an engine failure might cause them to look harder.

They seemed pretty explicite talking about damage on the track with a stock car... A tuned car is not stock and they will see it if the dealer uploads the files to the factory, and you better believe they'll look if you bruise this beast. That's not to say I don't think you could hurt something stock, but if you don't want to chance it, I'd leave it...

The ZL1 has a full warranty, including at the track. Why risk it?

If you have to worry about warranty, don't mod.

If your worried establish a good relationship and discuss it with your dealer - some play nicer than others and ultimatly if you mod you will be atleast in the know. Remember it's not the question that hurts it's the answer..

I believe this is your best shot at keeping any part of your warranty. If your dealer is kn your side, it might help if something happens.

I wouldn't bet your car on that. You can walk into your dealer quoting the Magnuson Moss act all day, but in the end it's their decision and most of them will void an engine warranty if it's tuned.
