Chevrolet will deploy a fleet of Camaros during the August 7-9*Camaro Fest, an enthusiast event at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

"We aim to bring a range of powertrains and trim levels so people can see the diversity," Christensen said.

Tony and Al were talking a little smack over Fords announcement of hood mounted turn signals. It was g I d natured tongue in cheek. Pros like those guys usually would be tight liped, especially if they were going to be running in second place in a performance race.

Just thinking they have an answer we don't.

Does anybody really think the Gen6 performance will NOT be better than the Gen6 Mustangs? As many people have stated, if the Camaro does not outperform the new Mustang, there would be a lot of shocked and disappointed people.

I think the 6th gen. Camaro can easily handle the new GT and GT Performance Package. However I'm skeptical about the GT350 and/or GT350R. I'm hopeful but as of right now we only have two engine options, LT1 & LT4 and I seriously hope Chevy's answer to Ford's Voodoo engine is not the LT4.

We only have one engine announced right now, the LT1.

We assume a V6 but the recently announced V6 for the CT6 is certainly yet to be confirmed.

And with a crap load of belly aching and prognosticating, we still only suspect a 2.0T.

And for the LT4? You won't likely hear a word about that on Saturday. So that guessing will have to continue.

There will still be a bunch more unanswered questions after Saturday.

With 6 months to go before launch, I am sure we will not hear.....

Price
FE
Final HP

I'm guessing we will get a weight number, only because GM already said "at least 200 pounds less......."

The curious thing will be (if there is a 2.0T) how GM handles pricing and such with Ford upcharging from the V6 to get the turbo 4. GM would likely have a base 2.0T and upcharge for the V6. So the price comparison of V6 to V6 is even harder to make. Or will GM put the 2.0T in and undercut the price and then charge parity for the V6?

So many questions to be answered.....................

And as I've said, I know engineers at GM and Ford that work on engines and they still go to work everyday. So GM has NOT stopped developing powertrains so no one should consider what you hear Saturday as the final answer. It won't be.

After Saturday the waiting really begins.

On another note; What are your thoughts on the C7R Special Edition? After the 5Gen Z/28 you'd have thought it would have been a REAL homage to the C7R ?!

They have plenty to work on that won't go in a Camaro.

My thoughts? Nothing more than a sticker package money grab.

I really don't understand the thought process behind revealing the car a day before the supposed actual reveal. They just killed a lot of the hype and excitement, for me at least.

I'm not really that blown away by either the 440 hp from the V8 or the styling… We'll see.

Does ANYONE think the CNBC leak was a good plan?

Someone should be beat upon the head.

The shoulders are saggy, and the car looks much less aggressive than I was hoping for. Also, the rear lights are still boring to me. Maybe they will look better with the lights on.

Styling wise IMHO 5th Gen>refresh>6th Gen.

I hate to say it, but that's my first impression.

I agree not as much of a cokebottle shape as the 5Gen. We'll see...
