Coilover Top Mount Movement
This is normal while turning the wheels, correct? Any type of grease needed to aid the movement? I'm just wanting to make sure everything is good as is.
https://youtu.be/HJn14kh4ub0 Oh! And feel free to let me know what aftermarket 12mm endlinks you prefer and why. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yup from my understanding of all the reading I've done on this forum . That movement is normal.

Yup its normal. Those rubber upper mounts can get worn and become noisy over time.

JPSS OEM Quiet High Efficiency Adjustable Endlinks These links are exceptionally high quality and you can feel it as soon as you get your hands on them. The ball joints are virtually perfect. Rotate the stud and ball. You can feel the precision. We believe our endlinks offer the race track ready performance of a spherical style endlink with a greater range of motions and are as quiet as the endlinks installed at the factory. http://www.jpssonline.com/#/jpss-oem-quiet-endlinks/ JPSS OEM Quiet High Efficiency Adjustable Endlinks are adjustable in length, a feature that is critical in corner weighting your performance vehicle. |

The phone was set on my car so the loud clunk is over exaggerated. It's just the rubber mounting going flat once the wheel centers. The other sounds is the coilover turning and the rubber mounting underneath rubbing against the top mount inside the wheel well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've seen some endlinks that are thicker. I'm not saying that it's better to have a thicker endlink, but I'm just curious as to why these are similar to OEM thickness. I know all of the action is at those spherical ends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There should be no noise at all, no squeaks, no clunks when the wheels are turns and the car is not moving. This is the case on a new mount or a 150,000 mile mount. Something is not right. There are lots of hard miles on this Camaro, roughly the same as yours if I remember correctly. |

The clunk is not audible to the ear. It was only heard because of the sensitive mic of my iPhone and the iPhone being on the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't know what could be wrong though. I posted pictures of the rubber underneath the strut tower. Looks a bit worn, but that's it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
